I had some wonderful time in the studio today, creating some Christmas samples! I may have sneaked a little bit of Christmas music…shhh

Here are some pictures of what I made! Button cards and journals! What do you think?

I love fall. I love the colors, the scarves, the apple cider and pumpkin pie. This fall season, my dad and I decided to collaborate a bit on some fall journals. He made the journals, and then I stamped them! I even carved a few of the stamps I used 🙂

We’ve got them in all different sizes: tiny, little, medium…

Check them out at our shop: http://www.ordinaryartists.etsy.com

I went to my favorite little thrift store today, and bought a whole box of vintage books! You can probably guess what’s coming…vintage book collections! I have a grey set, a blue set, and a green set!

Here’s a first look at the BOX I carried them home in:

Whew, I had the flu this last week and seriously neglected blogging! So I’m finally feeling better, and I’ve put up some new items on our etsy shop!

I’m loving the decorating-with-vintage-books trend that’s going around right now. I kept seeing all these beautiful, color-coordinated vintage collections around etsy, and I wanted to be a part of it! So I went to our cute little thrift store in Newberg (fondly called the Old Lady Thrift Store, because it it run by a group of wonderful, spunky elderly women) and had so much fun picking out these six books. Aqua Blue-Green is my favorite color, and while they are waiting to be sold, they are sitting nicely on a shelf in my living room!

Fun note: One of the books has beautiful pictures of fashion from the 40s, and another one has many, many sewing tutorials from the 30s!
